Making full use of financial services with Cameron Baum can make all the difference. Many leave themselves and their family at risk from inadequate personal tax planning and income protection. The effect on a family's lifestyle, in the event of serious ill health or death of the major income earner can be catastrophic.
You need to consider whether in either of these events:
- Your family have enough income to live on
- Your family can meet all the outstanding financial obligations
- Your estate can pay the Inheritance Tax (40% after the first £250,000)
- Your business partner can continue to run the business without you and if s/he has the resources to buy out your share or replace you with an alternative
Whilst most people insure their car, their house and its contents, many do not insure the very income that supports all of this. Likewise, failure to have an up-to-date Will can be a recipe for disaster.
Like most accountants, Cameron Baum is not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, but we are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services because we are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
We can provide these investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services we have been engaged to provide. We are also able to advise on the tax consequences on products in general terms and we can introduce you to, and work together with, Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs).
We are working closely with a number of IFAs, who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, and who we have identified as suitable partners because their personalities and work practices are similar to the Cameron Baum ethos.
They will ensure that you have access to the most up to date and suitable products and solutions so that you can make informed decisions about you and your family's future.
At all times you will be able to discuss your requirements with one of our partners and/or the IFA – the choice is yours. You will be given the opportunity to discuss aspects that may be relevant to you concerning:

- Will Writing
- Long Term Care Insurance
